I lived in Paris for a year so I've become quite a macaron snob. Last year, I participated (as in taste-tested) in International Macron day in the GTA. The closest thing to the real deal (by which I mean the macaron standards set by Laduree is Petit Thuet followed by Bobette et Belle).
