This would be for a casual reception, with hot and cold appetizers and/or party platters, rather than a dinner.
I realize the Drake has a room that can fit around 25-30 on the 2nd floor, but there was almost no seating last time I was there for an event.I've also been to a couple events above Lolita's Lust, but I'm hoping to find a space that is more spacious and a little more upscale.
I'm considering the space above Grace,which I understand has a $1200-$1500 minimum.
I read in an older thread that the back part of the Auld Spot on the Danforth can also be set aside for a group.
Has anyone attended a party or an event at the Gladstone's Art Bar space? How is the catered party food at the Gladstone? I noticed it has space for 20 seated, or 28 in a reception.
Has anyone been to the private room at Delux?
What other bars/pubs would you recommend, that would have room for a group of 20+ on a weekend? I realize the Duke pubs could handle this, but I'm looking for better tasting food.
Ok with any part of the city, but would lean towards Danforth, College, W Queen W. Open to suggestions of restaurants that do buy-outs for $2000 or less.
