i've been in this place a number of times since it opened up but today was the first time i tried one of this dudes sandwiches. $6 schnitzel with sauerkraut, pickle, kewpie mayo and mozzarella on a crusty bun. holy hell it was the most delicious sandwich i've had in a minute. he does tons of pickling/curing/etc in house. i don't know what else to say about it other than try it, compare it to sanagans or thomas laver or whatever you want, it's better. damn that was a good sandwich and damn that's a good price. i'd take it over porchetta. he also had a banh mi with pate and headcheese out today, not sure if these are weekend specials or regular offerings but it's worth sticking your head in and seeing what he's got regardless, lots of prepared stocks/soups/rillettes/sausages/deli meats/etc. oh yeah it's on kensington st just north of st andrew where the ice cream store was
