other than the starch component and portion size, i'd say that sabai sabai is doing "full" dishes. in fact, i'd say the experience is actually more accurate since asian food is more often eaten family style.
favourites were the chicken wings, morning glory, fried fish, noodle salad, and the sticky rice to calm things down when it got a bit spicy. my fish was really tender and silky, so i'm not sure if that's something that's varying. lots of great fresh flavours.
the papaya salad wasn't as funky as i wanted and the beef salad, while nice, was a bit too spicy for me to enjoy properly. i'm wondering if i can request spice levels for some of the dishes like that. they were unfortunately out of the steamed curry fish which i'm really looking forward to trying.
our service was a little scattered but pleasant.
