The most amazing Haitian mangoes are available at T&T Cherry Street this weekend. See http://www.mangomaven.com/holy-haitian-mango-batman/ for a great description. They were available for sampling and were sold in 2-packs for about $4-$5 or a case of 12 for $22.99. The salesperson said that they were tree ripened and then flown immediately to Toronto. They are not being sold at any other T&Ts right now, just Cherry Street.
They had soft, buttery sweet flesh, even when the skin was ripe, and tasted like no mango I'd had before.
