Where to buy Cassareep in Toronto?

Any West Indian grocery store will have it. I'm not sure of downtown or the Danforth, but if you're in Scarborough there's Charley's at Morningside/Sheppard, M and S on Bellamy Rd south of Lawrence, and Charloos on VP north of Eglinton to name a few. You'll also be able to find the other ingredients such as the pig tail & cow heel that you pressure or whatever (then remove before serving). It's a long process, not simply just boiling it like soup but I guess you already reseached it. Just FIY, not all cassareep that you'll find here is "good". In some they put a lot of peper which I don't think is typical or traditional, for example. I don't know, my mom has never been able to find one she really likes here, so she asks family to bring back the real thing when they go back to Guyana.
