Kid friendly restaurants in Toronto do NOT include "Batifole"

My initial gut reaction was more shock that they asked you to pay the bill and to leave. If I was the staff working there I probably would have just taken the hit on the food costs and packed up the food complimentary. I know a restaurant can't survive giving away food but I guess that is why some places have "no kids" rules. There is definitely a fine line. I remember taking my nephews to see March of the Penguins... since it was advertised as kid friendly I thought I would be okay. Well, handling three young boys was more than a challenge. No matter all of my efforts they were kicking the seat in front and talking and he person in front of me was rightfully upset. I apologized and just took them out of the movie for a walk around, talk and managed to get them to settle down for the last part. I was also had experiences dining as a family with various nieces/nephews and their parents don't seem to care about the kids running around/etc. I felt more of a heightened responsibility because I knew what it felt like to be the other patron in those type of environments.
