They once had a winning formula. I have no idea why Lick's Homeburgers strayed so far from their core products nor why they changed the original burger mixture. I have one about a 5 minute walk from my work. Years ago, I would have been in there every week or two. Now, if I go it's once a year, maybe, and for nostalgia purposes only.
